Panel-Tex prefabricated system is a hardened-edge system that is manufactured to 1/32 of and inch. The acoustical substrate is cut and formed into the edge detail as required and then an eco-friendly hardened agent is applied. DFB's qualified upholsteres, upholster each panel aligning pattern or weave to insure a perfect panel. As a full service company from specification, manufacturing to installation means total control and the highest quality.
The Panel-Tex system is also available in a wood frame system; this is used when our standard system can not make the details. The wood that we use comes from sustainably managed forests.
Panels are fabricated well above industry standards, pattern match and alignment of fabric is always precise. Can be used in conjunction with Track TexTM and can be directly mounted to the with either a Z-clip or Velcro attachment, depending on the installation.
Panel-Tex utilizes molded fiberglass boards as a substrate for all acoustical applications and is composed of at least 20% post consumer waste. Acoustical board is thermal and acoustical insulation product made from inorganic fiberglass fibers pre-formed into boards bonded with a thermosetting resin. The board is manufactured with a smooth surface on one side and is precision cut with a 1/16" thickness tolerance, insuring precise alignment within the framework.
