“Promoting Sustainable Materials, the Roles and Responsibilities of Architects and Manufacturers” discusses sustainable vocabulary and green terminology in regards to building and interior materials, chemicals, and general environmental and LEED definitions. The steps that both manufacturers and architects can take in promoting sustainable materials to clients are explained including an in-depth look of sustainable materials (hard and soft surfaces), green certification programs, and common materials that are unhealthy.  This program is approximately 1 hour in length and is qualifies for 1 AIA and IIDA Continuing Education Credit.

Looks at how stone has been used as a building material over the centuries; the evolution of cement up to the Industrial Revolution and the features and benefits of copolymer infused cement (Durable Applied Surfaces).  These Flexible Concrete Veneers are the latest technology in interior surfaces. By bonding copolymers with cement a durable and lasting decorative interior finish is achieved.  This program is approximately 1 hour in length and is qualifies for 1 AIA and IIDA CEU. 

 

 

Wine Tasting - Morristown, NJ 7/29/10

Another amzing wine tasting event! DFB‘s Leo Alessi hosted along with Debra Tantleff, 40 Park and Chris Bezzone, Advanced Interiors. The guests mingled at the 40 Park Complex, visiting one of the penthouses and enjoying wines from the Villa Rose Wine School and the Grameiri family vineyards.
